Jamestown Banker Named Market President for Dacotah Bank
Jamestown, ND – Dacotah Bank regional president, Dan Vollmer, has announced Casey Henderson, a long-time Jamestown banker, will be market president for the company in the Jamestown area. Based in Aberdeen, South Dakota, Dacotah Bank serves over 50,000 clients with banking, insurance, mortgage, and trust and wealth management services.
According to Vollmer, “Casey is well-known in the Jamestown area and has worked closely with local agricultural producers and small business owners throughout his career. We are excited to have Casey join our team!”
Dacotah Bank purchased land near Walmart on the south side of Jamestown earlier this year and will begin construction on a new bank facility this spring. Initial plans call for an 8,000 square foot building with design options to expand to 12,000 square feet in the future. In February, the company received regulatory approval to expand into the Jamestown market.
Henderson is looking forward to the new opportunity, “Dacotah Bank is well-known and respected for staying close to customers through all kinds of economic and climate cycles. That is very important for farmers and business people who count on a steady source of financing for operations and growth.” Dacotah Bank will open as a full service banking institution but Henderson and Vollmer are both projecting services offered could grow to include insurance, investments, and wealth management.
Dacotah Bank is America’s 18th largest lender to agricultural producers. “With a strong local economy in Jamestown this is an opportunity to help our local farmers, business owners and consumers achieve their financial goals,” said Casey.
Henderson is a graduate of the University of Jamestown and the American Bankers Association’s (ABA) Graduate School of Banking at Boulder, CO. His professional career has included banking positions of senior vice president and chief credit officer. He is a past chairman of the North Dakota Bankers Association (NDBA) Agricultural Committee. Henderson is currently a board member of the Jamestown Public School Foundation and a former member of the James River Family YMCA.
Dacotah Bank will bring a number of convenient banking services to the market including free mobile banking, access to more than 100,000 free ATMs worldwide, online deposits services, credit cards for consumers and businesses, trust and wealth management services, and increased lending limits for local agricultural producers among other traditional banking and insurance services.
Casey and his wife Shannon will continue to make their home in Jamestown. During the construction phase, Casey’s office will be located at Dacotah Bank in Valley City.
