Dacotah Bank and Sioux Falls Storm Present Teacher of the Year!
Sioux Falls, SD—Dec. 30, 2016. To honor and pay respect to our area educators, Dacotah Bank and the Sioux Falls Storm Football Club have teamed up to sponsor a special Teacher-of-the-Year Contest that will provide over $1,900 in cash and prizes to the winners.
Teachers are real life superheroes. They educate, innovate, encourage and support students of all ages. Every day they touch the lives of thousands of children and their work and impact extends far beyond the boundaries of the classroom.
The contest is open to educators teaching in K-12 grade levels. Criteria for the contest judging will include an emphasis on teachers who inspire creativity and enthusiasm in the classroom, demonstrate exemplary teaching methods and style, and someone who has significant impact on students, parents, and peers.
Nominations for this new contest will be accepted through Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Application forms are available through the Dacotah Bank Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=dacotah%20bank) and the Storm Football website at www.siouxfallsstorm.com.
Teachers may be nominated by students, parents, teaching peers, school administrators or principals who have an interest in honoring an outstanding educator. Judging will take place in March from all nominations received by Dacotah Bank and the Sioux Falls Storm.
The sponsors will award and recognize three (3) individual teachers at the Storm Football game scheduled for Saturday, April 15th at the Denny Sanford Premier Center. They will include:
GRAND PRIZE: $500 cash award and a pizza party from Domino’s at the winning teacher’s classroom.
